🎄It's too late to order a Historic Logo t-shirt for Christmas delivery

Don't get us wrong – we'll still take the order but there is no guarantee that it will arrive before Christmas. Please don't order one for Christmas delivery.

But it would make a great gift to ring in the New Year, after the fact.

WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT

▪️There is an overnight parking ban on all Ottawa streets from 7pm  tonight to 7am tomorrow morning for snow plowingSix park and ride locations have opened up overnight parking if you need to park your motor somewhere. [City of Ottawa]

▪️Here it is: the Treasury Board mandates a return to the office 2 or 3 days per week by March 31. Federal civil servants will be transitioned to a hybrid work model that requires 40 to 60 per cent of work to be done in the office. Each department head has flexibility to determine the exact per centage. The new system will begin January 16, until it is fully in effect by March 31. The Federal civil service unions are appalled at the idea, the lack of notice, and being left out of implementation. [Ottawa Citizen]

▪️Findlay Creek woman gets her stolen Jeep back after putting an Apple AirTag in the spare tire. The woman’s neighbour told her that some men were showing interest in her 2021 Jeep Wrangler, prompting her to drop in the low cost tracking device. A week later, the Jeep was stolen. Ottawa Police used the woman’s iPhone to locate the Jeep a few kilometres away. Police says 85 per cent of stolen vehicles are not found; of 1,200 stolen vehicles stolen this year, only 173 have been recovered. [CBC]

+ Related There is a fully-insured 2010 Ford Fusion on the street with no AirTags or other trackers installed. Just saying.
