The Good Ideas Shop is a pretty cool window display of six online Ottawa businesses. Just like those lavishly decorated department store window displays of Christmases past, the Good Ideas Shop window showcases products by the six businesses, only with QR codes to take you to their online shopping experience.

You'll find it at 56 ByWard Market Square.

Every day for the rest of this week we’ll tell you about two of those businesses.

NUTURE WITH BOTANICS uses plants other local natural ingredients to nature humans through the seasons. Their collection of teas, candles, and face oils sooth the senses and nurture mental well being.

? In the warmer seasons the pink GATHER FOOD TRUCK  dispenses vegan bowls packed with fresh produce, dressing, and toppings like tempeh crumble. Through the winter Gather sells vegan cookies, candles, and other pantry essentials along with some pretty cute merch.

Today is the last day to enter for a box of of items from all the Good Ideas Ottawa shops. It's quite the catch.

Email to us at [email protected] with your name and phone number and we'll draw a name from a hat tomorrow morning.*

* We won't sell your info or use it to market anything, it's only for the draw. We do need to tell our partner, Meta, who won and we'll print the winner’s first name on Friday.

▪️That rusty water in the taps of College, Knoxdale-Merivale and River wards? Don't worry about it, says the City. Stage 2 O-Train construction has disturbed iron sediments into the water supply. It may look gross but it is harmless. Residents are advised to run their taps for 10 minutes to clear it out. [CBC]
