WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT

▪️That rusty water in the taps of College, Knoxdale-Merivale and River wards? Don't worry about it, says the City. Stage 2 O-Train construction has disturbed iron sediments into the water supply. It may look gross but it is harmless. Residents are advised to run their taps for 10 minutes to clear it out. [CBC]

▪️The City asks court to agree that the maintainers of the Confederation Line are in default. Should the court agree, the City would be cleared to break the 30 year contract with the Rideau Transit Group. While there have been many problems with the Confederation Line, the City is arguing that the August and September derailments of the O-Train are what put RTG into default. [CBC]

▪️Andrew King takes a trip to Heart’s Desire Park at Woodroffe and Prince of Wales in search of … The Lost Chapel. He finds it, in a manner of speaking. [Ottawa Rewind]
