It's the BEST OF OTTAWA 2021 Voting Round We launched the ottawan Best Of Ottawa awards last year as a way to create a conversation about supporting your local businesses. It was tons of fun, Martha and Darren had a COVID-friendly awards ceremony and lunch on the patio at Flora Hall, and we sent out certificates to the winners and the runners-up. (Plus the $100 gift certificate, for which the winner chose North & Navy if we recall correctly.) What we're getting at is: we were nobody, it was done cheap-and-easy, and a good time was had by all. What a difference a year make. The competition is keen. There are so many more choices, the choices themselves are so much harder. The nomination round created a much broader and deeper bench of deserving local businesses. We don't envy your work this year. But it's work that you must do. VOTE FOR THE BEST FOR OTTAWA 2021 On social media, please pass around the link and use #BestOfOttawa2021 We'll see you tomorrow – Martha and Darren ? Is there something that Ottawa should know about? Email to us at hello@theottawan.com. We read every single comment. |
