Ottawa Public Health says the risk of infection is ‘very low’ but people should monitor for signs and symptoms of hepatitis A for 50 days. Symptoms are ‘fever, loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal pain, feeling generally unwell (malaise), yellow skin and eyes (jaundice), pale stools, or dark urine. | | | | 🚨 Ottawa Police Service | ▪️The Ottawa Police Service have made an arrest over a 1996 homicide. In April 1996, 22 year-old Christopher Smith was fatally stabbed on the Portage Bridge. The assailant was also injured and left a trail of blood, from which DNA was extracted. At the time, the DNA had no match but recently, using geological DNA profiling, the Service identified a relative of the assailant and soon after, the now 73 year-old man.
