It's Wednesday, and that means Ottawa's restaurant roundup, guest starring craft beer. ▫️ Ridge Rock Brewing in Carp has reintroduced their Guardian IPA, named after the mysterious person who informed the world of mysterious UFO activityin West Carleton thirty years ago. ▫️ In honour of #takeoutwednesday, Clocktower Brew Pub offers 15% off when you call ahead to order a pickup order on Wednesdays. ▫️ Dominion City Brewing has done a long-distance collaboration with Kitchener's Short Finger Brewing: the FoamSlayer Pale Ale, brewed with Motueka and Lemondrop hop. Available at Dominion City Brewing. ▫️ Flora Hall Brewing has also created two new brews for summer: Crispy Kveik (technically an ale, but this has a clean, crushable lager-like finish) and Virtual Borders Hazy Weisse IPA. Both are available at Flora. Patios Meanwhile, the continuing hot weather keeps drawing us to the plethora of patios across Ottawa. ▫️ The pop-up bistro in Confederation Park has reopened. The bistro, operated by Moulin de Provence, reopens along with the fountain and the views of the Rideau, all of which had been closed due to the building of the Ottawa super sewer. Landlords would be required to log requests from tenants and to act within 24 hours on major problems.
