The amount of money that a Kanata couple spent to redo their front yard – which Ottawa ByLaw has ordered to be removed. The renovation included ‘interlock, river rock, stepping stones, and gardens’.
After a complaint from a neighbour, Ottawa ByLaw says that some of the stonework is on the City’s right-of-way and has given until September 30 to remove it.

🦠 Ottawa Public Health warns of six locations where there was risk of exposure to measles. If you visited one of the locations below, Public Health recommends monitoring for symptoms for 21 days.
🎾 Museum looking to dump exhibits on Dr James Naismith and R Tait McKenzie . The Mill of Kintail Museum outside Almonte, features exhibits on Naismith, who created basketball, and McKenzie, a pioneer in the field of physiotherapy. The issue comes up because of a change in provincial law; the museum is operated by the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority but the More Homes, More Choice Act removed the ability of conservation authorities to issue a municipal levy. – Ben Andrews at CBC
🚌 An OC Transpo bus got stuck under an overhead sign at the Bayshore Shopping Centre yesterday. The sign said there was a height restriction of 6’8″.

🏒 The Sens’ minor league affiliate team has agreed to stay in Belleville for the next three years. The Belleville Senators of the American Hockey League will continue to play at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre. Had the extension not occured, the Belleville Sens were expected to move to Ottawa or Hamilton. – Bruce Garrioch in the Ottawa Citizen
