| | BUT, ONE MORE THING … | Ottawa ByLaw officers have been patrolling Britannia Park and Petrie, looking to give out $70 tickets to people trying to view the aurora borealis the past few nights. Officially the park is closed 11:00 pm to 5:00 am. Skygazers like both because of the lessoned light pollution.
The Ottawa Citizen has pointed out this light pollution map in its aurora borealis guide to help you find the best spot. Unsurprisingly, the best views are outside the City.
