HELLO OTTAWA

The National Capital Commission looks like it is playing games.

It is inviting the public to attend a discussion called ‘Reviving urban spaces with playful design’ and has engaged four experts in ‘public art and playful design’.

Registration is required, either for the limited amount of in-person seats at Urbanism Lab on Elgin or to watch the live video on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 6:30 pm.

Christmas Gift Guide

We're busily putting it together again but we would love your suggestions to ensure we don't miss something great. Food items are always popular; services which offer gift certificates are good, too. Physical items are the platonic ideal, and thus the hardest to find.

Send your nominations for a locally made item to 'giftguide@theottawan.com'.

Correction: 613Flea’s final market of the season is at Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park tomorrow, and not the Fieldhouse at Carleton University, as we wrote in yesterday’s newsletter. We apologise for the error. 613 Flea is holding a Christmas Market at the Fieldhouse Dec 2 and 3.
