| ⛵Gatineau | ▪️A Gatineau city councillor who travelled to Russia with municipal computer equipment probably didn’t compromise security, says Mayor. | 🪩 Night Mayor | ▪️Ottawa’s Night Mayor is looking to create a Nightlife Council to advise him. Six seats will be taken by representatives of organizations already involved in the night economy, while 12 other volunteers are being sought from ‘residents, business owners, and workers who participate in Ottawa’s nightlife economy’. Notably, the info page highlights in boldface, ‘If you do not participate in Ottawa’s nightlife economy, please do not apply to the Nightlife Council’. It also notes there is no pay, the council cannot direct City staff, nor make any binding decisions. The at-large positions will be chosen by Mathieu Grondin himself. Deadline is October 11. | | City of Ottawa Application Page Ottawa’s Nightlife Economy Info Page |
