Tuesday Job List: Financial Careers

▪️ Cuso International is searching for a Project Finance Officer for a range of critical work in Project Financial Management, Project/Country Project Office (CPO) Financial Compliance, and other general duties. Required languages are English and Spanish, and French is desirable.

▪️ Dow Honda requires a Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager to manage the financing of new and used vehicles. The ideal candidate will have the ability to explain and sell extended service contracts and be detail oriented. Required: OMVIC license.

▪️ Ontario’s Francophone Academic Hospital, Hôpital Montfort requires an Accounting Manager, preferably with experience in a hospital setting, to oversee the Accounting Department. CPA designation and a minimum of five years’ experience are required.
 

Last minute Father's Day idea 

Three Tarts Father’s Day lineup includes cheese cakes, box of four mini pies, and adorable decorated shortbread cookies ($18 for a box of seven). The bakery’s new website is taking orders, but the deadline for Father’s Day goodies is 5:00pm on Thursday (June 17).

▪️ The Ottawa – Carleton District School Board has provisionally voted to remove police officers from schools. A report commissioned by the Board found that some students and families found that they were intimidated by police assigned to the School Resource Officer Programme. The Board also voted to apologize to those that have been harmed and to ask the City to re-allocate the money to a mobile youth crisis team. The Board will make a final decision June 22. [CBC]

+ Related The Ottawa Police officer who mocked people in custody with mental illnesses and circulated the video has pleaded guilty to nine counts of discreditable conduct.

▪️ The Confederation Line will close at 7 pm every night until the end of the month. During the off time, staff will be working to quiet the wheel noise. Bus service will operate between stations. [CTV]
