New Marketing Jobs

▪️ The CAA North and East Ontario has two marketing positions on offer:

The Insurance Marketing Manager is a remote working position that will develop and implement marketing programs to promote the value of insurance products sold through CAA North and East Ontario. Salary: $60K/year

Meanwhile, the Senior Manager, Membership Marketing will be responsible for the marketing strategies that will attract new members and engage with current members. Salary $60K/year

▪️ Horizons Digital Marketing is growing quickly, and requires an Email Marketing & Digital Marketing Manager with experience marketing for small businesses, eCommerce companies in particular. $3K - $5K/month

▪️ Edelman continues its transition from PR agency into a communications marketing firm, and requires a Senior Account Manager, Corporate Communications with 3-4 years agency experience. Government and public affairs experience would be an asset. Salary not listed.


One more thing: The April Navan market has been cancelled due to the present lockdown restrictions imposed by the province. The May market is expected to run as usual.

⭕ We're losing the race against the COVID-19 variants, says Dr Vera Etches. She would like a stay-at-home order from the Province. [CBC]

⭕ Restaurants Canada, a trade group, is asking for $100 million from the Province to compensate restaurants for closures [Ottawa Citizen]

▪️ Mechanicsville residents oppose new embassies being built in their neighbourhood because ‘[e]mbassies require wide perimeters around them so that terrorists and bombs et cetera, will not affect the local community’. The National Capital Commission has been proposing to build six embassies on vacant land near the Sir John A MacDonald Parkway but  has been facing objections from neighbours. [I Heart Radio]
