The province wants to remove all amenities such as trails, washrooms, and parking lots from conservation area funding. #WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT ▪️ Will Amos, the MP for Pontiac, just can't stop being embarrassed on camera. Last month, Amos was caught on the Parliamentary Zoom chat changing clothes after coming back for a jog. This week, Amos was caught peeing on that same Parliamentary Zoom chat. Amos apologized again. [New York Times] ▪️ Federal civil servant fired after twice recommending her daughter for a job. The daughter was hired on a casual basis, and later her job extended on the civil servant’s recommendation, without disclosing the family relationship. For a while, the mom was the direct supervisor of the daughter. [Ottawa Citizen] ▪️ Ottawa magazine lists three local hikes and companion bakeries to visit afterwards [Ottawa Magazine] ▪️ The giant warehouse and truck terminal near Barrhaven has been approved by the planning committee. Local residents had opposed the developement due to the number of trucks added to the roads and lack of amenities. The warehouse is needed due to the increase in online shopping.
