    More Valentine’s Day Experiences and Gifts

    2. Spend a romantic evening at the theatre. The Gladstone presents the Bent Sisters production of Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna’s 1982 comedy It Had to be You (February 7 - 17).

    7. Book a place for yourself, your pals, or your person on the Beads and Booze: Valentine’s Day Edition, for an evening of DIY jewellery making and cocktails at Driphouse (3408 Parkdale Ave).
       
    8. Little Jo Berry’s plant-based Valentine’s Date Night Meal is a comfort meal dream with fried seitan chicken, Cashew Cheese Alfredo Pasta, a kale salad, one City Seltzer, and one treat, which you choose from the display cart. You’ll reheat the meal at home. It’s available February 9 to 14 during regular shop hours.
       
    9. The extremely limited, dinner-sized Valentine’s Charcuterie for 2 boards from Piggy Market include a locally made board that you get to keep once the cheese, meat, and accompaniments are gone.

      • –  Kell is opening the Manie Daniels Centre, an addictions treatment centre that will house people living with addictions and are awaiting trial in a provincial jail.       •  The lawyer stickhandling the proposed class action against the Convoy says the Emergencies Act ruling is helpful. Paul Champ says the Federal Court’s ruling that Federal government overreached in invoking the Emergency Act shows that the conflict was real and centred in Ottawa but how it was dealt with is irrelevant to the case. (Aedan Helmer in the Ottawa Citizen)

      🏠 Property Tax

      •  Thirty two years after the creation of the public Internet, the City has made assessment value and the property tax values available online as of today. The new tool lets you look up any address in the City and find out its assessed value and the various taxes levied for the current and previous year. (Toula Mazloum at CTV) (City Look-up Tool)

      🏫 Ottawa-Carleton District School Board

      • Ottawa-Carleton District School Board Trustee Nili Kaplan-Myrth has filed for a judicial review of her breach of conduct punishments. The Board barred Kaplan-Myrth for one meeting and declared her not eligible for any committees, after a report by the integrity commissioner on her conduct against other trustees. A hearing date has not yet been set. (Joanne Laucius in the Ottawa Citizen)
