Get ready for February, when you can participate in one or more of the annual fundraisers that take us outside for a good cause.
Get creative with the Snow Angel Challenge, running February 1st through 28th. Last year people wearing everything from cozy winter gear to the tiniest of bathing suits got their snow angels on, raising $50,000 for the Snowsuit Fund. #snowangelottawa
Last year the ottawan’s readers donated $1,275 to Darren and Martha’s walk in The Coldest Night of the Year event, to raise money for Cornerstone housing for women. Join thousands of other Canadians walking on February 26th, to raise money for many deserving charities. #cnoy22
You can choose your activity in the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre’s Wear Red Canada Virtual 5K, happening between February 13th and 28th 2022. You can also choose whether to take part for a time of 30 minutes or a distance of 5k. Wear something red and have fun, whether it’s dancing alone in your living room or snowshoeing on a new trail with a group of friends. #wearredcanada
We saw some fantastic deals under the Sale tab at Up Pants. Now is the time to grab a Made in Canada ponte pencil skirt (was $115, now $69), gingham capris (were $110, now $59), or an open cardigan (was $80, now $48).
We'll see you tomorrow– Martha and Darren
