?Ottawa makers continue to produce an epic range of designs. Visit Square LemonMaker House, and Ottawa Artisans to source local designers.

?We’re currently loving the mask designs by The Banana Seamstress at Square Lemon.

? Speaking of local artisans, the crisp air makes us think of wearing cozy knitwear, and of the craft fairs that we would normally attend while wearing it. The Sweater Weather Virtual Market by Ottawa Artisans is exactly what it says on the tin: from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on September 25th. 26th and 27th, over 100 vendors will be selling handcrafted items from fashion accessories to jewellery to art and more.

We'll see you tomorrow – Martha and Darren

#WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT

▪️Four year-old on his first day of school aÉcole élémentaire publique Francojeunesse didn't get off the bus – and was driven 40km to the bus company. The bus driver has been fired. The student was late for class. [CBC]

▪️Downtown Dunrobin is still not rebuilt, two years after being destroyed by a tornado.  The small plaza, containing a grocery, LCBO, post office, and pizza house was the life blood of the part of West Carleton. Its rebirth is painfully slow. [Ottawa Citizen]

▪️Kids Shakespeare show in Old Ottawa goes ahead, despite order from Ottawa Bylaws. It's getting weird now. Councillor Shawn Menard tried to get involved but was warned that he would be interferring in a bylaw investigation; the lawyers say that the law says any business can be run from a home – but the City insists that means inside, not outside. The kids have shows scheduled for the next two weekends. [Ottawa Citizen] [Company of Adventurers]

▪️City looking into allowing 'fire pits' and propane heaters in the streets. Restaurant patios that have expanded into the street may be able to extend their service into autumn. [CTV]
