The Poll

Yesterday, we asked ‘Who will be the premier after today’s election?’.

66% Doug Ford (Progressive Conservative)
10%  Marit Stiles (New Democratic Party)
17%  Bonnie Crombie (Liberal)
2%   Luc Léonard (Mayor of Moonbeam, Ontario)
0%   Mike Schreiner (Green)
5%   One of these names is not a major party leader but is actually the mayor of Moonbeam, Ontario and I have no idea which one

Premier Doug Ford not only won reëlection but also a third majority, a first since 1959. Luc Léonard, mayor of Moonbeam, should also be congratulated as more readers chose him than Mike Schreiner, leader of the Green Party, an actual candidate.

Today’s question:

Are you consciously avoiding US-made products at the store now?

We welcome any comments ‘hello@theottawan.com’.

      🛍️  Shopify

      •  Ottawa’s largest company, and Canada’s second largest public company, has listed a New York City address on regulatory filings for the first time. Both Shopify’s 151 O’Conner Street office and its 148 Lafayette Street address were listed as ‘principal executive offices’. When Shopify was asked if it was considering a formal move to the United States, a representative replied that the filing would help other parts of its financials be easier to compare with other tech companies.
