It doesn't seem possible but many in-person markets are open today, tomorrow, and/or throughout the weekend. People interacting with people. It's been so long.

We strongly recommend that you prepare to take your time, as physical distancing measures are bound to make the process slower than in non-pandemic times. Wear a mask, observe the six feet rule, and use hand sanitizer whenever you see it available.

The outdoor Byward Market and Parkdale Market are both open for produce and flower sales from 9am to 5pm, today through Sunday. You can still order online as well as visit some of the vendors person at the outdoor markets. [Ottawa Markets]

Ottawa Organic Farmers Market
Open Saturday from 10am to 2pm, at the Canada Care Building, 1644 Bank Street. [OOF Market]

The Ottawa Farmers’ Market at Landsdowne will be open on Sunday from 9am to 3pm, with a 100 customer capacity limit. The first hour is for those over 65, as well as the immunocompromised. Everyone else should arrive after 10am. Check the website for individual vendors, many of whom are still accepting pre-orders through their online stores. [Ottawa Farmers' Market]

Beechwood Farmers Market

The Barrhaven Farmers Market at the Log Farm is only Saturday from 9am to 2pm. Check their website for a list of vendors, and contact those you’d like to visit this weekend, to ensure they’re taking part. 670 Cedarview Road. [Barrhaven Farmers' Market]

The Carp Farmers Market will reopen Saturday June 20th, from 8:30am to 1:00pm. The market advises pre-ordering, and there will be a maximum of 35 vendors, to allow for appropriate physical distancing. CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

 There have been 2036 confirmed cases of COVID‌-19 and 260 deaths in Ottawa. There were no new reports yesterday.

Video shows several people wandering into a private room at Madonna long-term care. Installed by the occupant's daughter before all vistors were banned, footage from the camera reveals that other residents wandered into her room, slept in her bed, and sneezed onto her pillow. 61 per cent of the residents tested positive for COVID-19, including the woman living in this room. [Ottawa Matters]
