HELLO OTTAWA

We don’t usually plug our t-shirts up here in the introduction box but a Tweet by River Ward councillor Riley Brockington has shaken us up: ‘The final demolition permit for the Carling Ave Travelodge has been granted’.

That Travelodge of course is the latest incarnation of the Talisman Motor Inn, where Ottawa’s grooviest mingled in the Beachcomber tiki bar in the 60s.

Pour out a Mai Tai in rememberance of Old Ottawa.
