WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT |
💥Westboro Bus Crash - The driver of the OC Transpo double-decker bus that crashed into an overhang at the Westboro Transitway station has not responded to a summons requiring her to attend the inquest. Aissatou Diallo was the driver when the bus crashed in 2019 and left three passenger dead. Diallo was acquitted of dangerous driving charges over the incident in 2021. The provincially mandated inquiry over the crash began Wednesday.
The CBC has some of the photos and charts presented by the inquest. (Disturbing but not graphic)

🙈 Brass Monkey - Napean music and pool hall Brass Monkey has closed itself for a few weeks over a liquor licence issue. Owner Scott Ruffo says there was an ‘unexpected disruption’ in his liquor licence renewal but expects to reopen in a few weeks. However, the venue's Facebook page declares "we will be temporarily closing our doors to undertake a significant internal company restructure." Read the rest of the Facebook post.
Tonight’s concert by Pussy Riot, the Russian art collective that angered Vladimir Putin, has moved its show from the Brass Monkey to the Ottawa Art Gallery.
