    QUOTE

    • Unfortunately Mr Carney’s campaign team prevented his local media from covering this event — despite it being in the riding where he’s running.

    • – Editor of Kitchissippi Times and Ottawa Lookout, and reporter for Barrhaven Independent, Charlie Senack was prevented from attending the launch of Liberal leader Mark Carney’s campaign in Nepean Saturday. Only ‘pool’ reporters were allowed in. The campaign later apologized and said it was a ‘miscommunication’.

    WHAT OTTAWA IS TALKING ABOUT

    🅿️ Parking

    • The City is contemplating changing its parking meters downtown. The current system is ‘pay and display’ – pay at a machine, get a receipt, then display it in the window. With the new system you would enter your licence number at a machine or by smartphone app, pay the fee, then walk away – no receipt needed. Parking enforcement is easier as staff can just scan plates rather than check windshields.
