Upper Canada Village's Alight at Night Festival
The signature holiday experience Alight at Night returns to Upper Canada Village, mesmerizing guests from December 1, 2023 to January 6, 2024. This celebration of winter sees the magic return to the historic village as it becomes a captivating winter wonderland lit with over a million lights, providing a fun, festive and family-friendly experience for all ages.

Winter Lights Across Canada
Be dazzled by the thousands of lights that brighten Canada's Capital Region. Follow this route through Ottawa and Gatineau and admire the illuminated sites like Confederation Park, the Peacekeeping monument and the Garden of Provinces and Territories.

Home for the Holidays at Billings Estate
Wednesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm December 2 to 23
Cost: Regular admission fees apply. Press pause and take a moment for yourself this holiday season at Billings Estate National Historic Site. Relax as you enjoy the beautiful, period-appropriate, festive décor accenting Ottawa’s oldest wood-frame house. Explore the exhibition at your own pace as you discover personal stories and artefacts from the lives of the Billings family. Make time for mindfulness at the Christmas card colouring station, help place some pieces in the community puzzle, or engage your senses while crafting an ornament from natural materials.

Parlour's Not Another Market
Each Sunday in December, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Imagine yourself wandering among the vendors, visiting a bottle shop, holding a lovely cocktail in your hand, and listening to tunes, and you’ll get the idea. Be a dear and bring a donation to the Parkdale Food Centre with you. 1319 Wellington St. W.

OHS and Rens Pets Santa Pet Pics
Until December 16: HO! HO! HO! Santa Paws is coming to the Ottawa Humane Society! Celebrate this holiday season and bring your family to the OHS and local Ren’s Pets stores for festive photos with your pets! All proceeds go directly to helping Ottawa’s homeless animals. Our OHS Santa Pet Pics dates are presented by Halpenny Insurance. We sincerely thank Halpenny Insurance and Ren’s Pets for their incredible support with our supporters’ favourite holiday event.

Ferme Juniper Farm's Community Appreciation Holiday Social

We will be firing up the cauldron for some hot holiday cheer (the non-alcoholic kind) and we will also be serving our world famous pumpkin donuts (FREE or PWYC)! Come by and say hi! We will be outside from 1-5 on Dec 23rd. The store will be open for last minute buys. It will be a jolly good time. (Wakefield, QC)
