29 November 2023
- Bread by Us is now selling Stollen bread, available until December 24.
- The Merry Dairy is supporting Movember with ‘The Mo’rry Dairy’, a special line of ice cream flavours to raise funds for the men’s health movement. Mo’rry Dairy flavours include Black Cherry, Caramel & Cognac, Dark Chocolate & Espresso, and Churrissimo, chopped up churros in cinnamon.
- Good Prospects Brewing in Vanier has brewed its last keg. We played last post on our bluetooth as we removed it from our Ottawa Gatineau craft brewery map.
- Anya Swettenham in the Carleton students’ newspaper, The Charlatan, went back to Ottawa Bagelshop and Deli after new renovations and a transfer of ownership to the founder’s daughter. It’s still all good and still has the wood burning oven.
- Ameya Charnalia at Eat the Street visits one of the few restaurants with a perfect 5.0 rating on Google reviews, the Moroccan restaurant Moul Hanout. The showstopper was the seafood pastilla.
- Meanwhile, Peter Hum in the Ottawa Citizen ate at the restaurant that created Canada’s largest kebab – it was 65 metres long – two months ago, Al Halabi. Hum enjoyed the Syrian kebabs and buffet dishes, which come complete with sparklers.
