Peter Hum in the Ottawa Citizen looks at three new-ish Japanese restaurants: Takedon Ottawa (‘most items made me feel like I’d paid for a worthwhile convenience that spared me the effort of cooking’. Ouch, Peter, ouch), Kimonos Ramen & Poke (‘The best argument for that [price] premium, and for its food, is that those who live nearby don’t have to go downtown for ramen or poke’. Who hurt you in Japan, Peter?), and Kinton Ramen (‘perfected recipes and processes led to me slurping some top-of-the-pack bowls for Ottawa’. Well, okay then.)
