What to do on

Friday, May 23 2025

  • Ease into the weekend with the Capital Music Week Jazz Series at Bar Robo. Pianist and composer Miguel De Armas brings his rich Afro-Cuban jazz stylings to life with dynamic energy and sophistication, while rising vocal powerhouse Samantha Christ François delivers soulful, genre-defying vocals that move effortlessly between jazz, R&B, and beyond.

  • Visit Kanata Ribfest and Pountine for the aforementioned delicacies, but also mini donuts, BBQ chicken, live music, and a fun fair. See you at 400 March Road.

  • 🆓 The Ottawa Kennel Club Dog Show (May 23-25) is like Christmas for dog lovers. It's free to go, but you'll be asked for a donation to the Canadian Guide Dogs. Parking is $5. No dogs allowed except those registered in the events (and service dogs).
