Cities ranked past 40 don’t get a specific number, but Toronto-Waterloo dropped from 17 to 18, Vancouver dropped from 34 to 40, and Montréal went up from 39 to 40. • The vice-president of strategy, marketing, and communications for Invest Ottawa has been appointed as the new president and chief executive officer of Invest Ottawa. Shorey has been the interim president since December. One of her priorities is ‘doubling down on Ottawa as a startup capital’. See the Number above. (David Sale in the Ottawa Business Journal)
