▪️ The Chefs of Westboro Village are holding their first-ever Stew Showdown on Saturday February 8. ▪️ Road Trip: This week we learned about another fine local podcast: Cafépreneurs is produced by Café Joyeux in Rockland Ontario. In their latest episode they cover “Decoding Coffee Roasts: Light, Medium and Dark Explained”. More than a café, these folks roast in-house, hold community events, and carry a wide range of food items including plant-based and gluten free treats.

▪️ Sorry but guns and booze are off the menu at Savanna Lounge on Besserer St. Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and Ottawa Police Service officers discovered two guns in an after hours party at the restaurant January 12. Savanna Lounge has had its alcohol license suspended.

▪️ At Eat the Strip, Ameya Charnalia was craving ‘fresh, flavourful kebabs, creamy hummus, and homemade flatbreads’. He found them at Mr Samoona Grill & Bakery on Lamira St, where he found the prices on ‘an absolute steal’.
