BBC Northern Ireland will be filming an episode of its show The Band at Dominion Tavern on July 8. Be part of the excitement as Canada's oldest civilian pipe band, Sons of Scotland, plays along with Pop Culture Icons and Colorsfade.
Bring your own project to Mad About Patchwork’s Big Tent, where every Wednesday evening you'll experience live acoustic music, creativity, and community. 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 2477 Huntley Road in Stittsville. $5 in advance, $12 on the day.
Music & Beyond presents Igor Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du soldatat 2:00 pm and the English version A Soldier’s Tale at 5:00 pm. At 7:30 pm, Johan Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations are interpreted by pianist Stewart Goodyear at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre. Also at 7:30 pm, Ottawa Wind Ensemble plays a wide-ranging program at Tabaret Hall. Meanwhile, Montréal’s Kleztory puts its own spin on traditional klezmer music at The Church of St. John the Evangelist.
Games take over Art House as Beats & Boards returns. Bring your own or enjoy one of the in-house games.
If the weather allows, A Company of Fools presents The Comedy of Errors in Hiawatha Park from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
