▪️ Another bus company wants to take on the Ottawa–Gatineau to Montréal bus route. Groupe Autobus Maheux is applying to run coach services along the route, which was abandoned by Greyhound. Orléans Express received a special permit to operate on the route earlier in the year. [Le Droit]

▪️ The Gatineau Auto Show returns August 7 in Aylmer. This 30th edition, which was cancelled due to COVID-19 last year, is by ticket only, limited to 2,500 patrons on site at a time. [Le Droit] [Gatineau Auto Show]

▪️The home opener match of Atlético Ottawa on August 14 will be pay-what-you want. Pay nothing, pay the mortgage money. All funds will go to the Youth Services Foundation. The TD Place stadium – which is not the TD Place Arena – will hold up to 15,000 fans under COVID-19 rules. [Le Droit

▪️ The Disney Store at Rideau Centre is closing by August 18. Disney is closing all their stores in Canada – except three in Toronto – on that date. [Global News]
