What Ottawa is Talking About – 2 September 2021

▪️The Province looking for location open a temporary driver’s license testing centre in October. Their is currently a 677,000 person waitlist for driver’s tests. [CTV]

▪️City council and committee meetings will stay virtual for the rest of 2021. The City Clerk’s office made the recommendation. City meetings have been virtual since March 2020. [CTV]

▪️Residents say the new design of Montreal and Blair roads are too sububan. After spending years to redesign the roads, the plan is for wide, suburban-style thoroughfares. Residents consider the area urban, and want narrow streets with slow traffic and active sidewalks. [CBC]
