Ottawan of the Day: Timothy Johnstone. Johnstone, a foreman on a crew working on the Parliament Hill renovations, discovered a memorial near the cliff. Rather than remove it, he had his team enclose it in plexiglass to protect it from the building operations. The site is a memorial to Rico Iannucci, who died in a workplace accident when his backhoe went over the cliff in 2005. [CBC]
