COVID-19 NEWS

⭕ Mauril-Bélanger elementary in Vanier is the third school in Ottawa to close due to a COVID-19 outbreak [Ottawa Citizen]

⭕ Four City unions have filed grievances over mandatory vaccinations. Amalgamated Transit Union 279, Amalgamated Transit Union 1760 and Canadian Union of Public Employees  5500 which represent transit workers and Canadian Union of Public Employees 503, which represents trades people and librarians say that they are representing their members who do not want to be vaccinated. [CBC]

⭕ Music teacher at Lisgar Collegiate Institute wants wind instruments to return to music class. The instruments are allowed under Ontario rules but the Ottawa Carleton District School Board permits them only for outside play. [CBC]
