COVID-19 NEWS

⭕ A study by the University of Sydney of unvaccinated persons in Australia, Canada, the UK and the US found ‘these people tended to have “less agreeable personalities”, be less cooperative with others, more selfish, and more extroverted’. [Maclean’s]

⭕ The Delta variant of COVID-19 is 50 per cent more infectious than the Alpha variant, which itself was 50 per cent more infectious than classic COVID-19. [CBC]

⭕ Some other countries are now following Canada's lead in mixing-and-matching COVID-19 vaccines. [CBC]

⭕ More than 21,300 unallocated doses of the Moderna vaccine in Ontario are set to expire in two weeks. Pharmacists blame the preference for the Pfizer vaccine. [CBC]

⭕ Student athletes at the University of Ottawa will need to prove that they have been vaccinated with at least one dose to be eligible to play. [Ottawa Citizen]

⭕ An Ottawa landlord denied housing to an Algonquin College student because the student was not vaccinated. Is this legal? Who knows? You probably can't evict someone for not being vaccinated but renting to them is an open question. [Ottawa Citizen]
