COVID-19 NEWS
⭕ The Federal Government is changing the rules for Canada Worker Lockdown Benefit. As written, people who lost work could only claim a benefit if their area was in lockdown, however most Provinices, including Ontario, have only restricted capacity. The new rules will allow close that loophole. The Lockdown Benefit pays $300 per week. [CBC]
⭕ Thirty Ottawa paramedics and support staff tested positive after attending an event at a restaurant last week. The City has around 700 paramedics. [Ottawa Citizen]
