COVID-19 NEWS

⭕ Everyone can now download their COVID-19 vaccination certificate from the Provincial Portal. Over the weekend, it was divided by birth month and if you missed your day, your missed your chance as Darren discovered. [Provincial Portal]

⭕ Dr Vera Etches says kids should avoid extra curricular activities, be outside as much as possible, and cancel sleepovers to help control the spread of COVID-19. Children aged five to 11 have the highest rates of COVID-19 among all age groups in Ottawa. [Ottawa Citizen

⭕ Two people tested positive at 613 Lift, a gym that had run afoul of COVID-19 restrictions earlier in the year. [CBC]

⭕ Nearly 200 health care workers from Bruyère, Queensway Carleton and CHEO hospitals have been put on unpaid leave because they are not vaccinated against COVID-19. Those who work at the largest hospital, the Ottawa Hospital, have until November 1 to report their status. [Ottawa Citizen]
