COVID-19 NEWS

⭕ Ottawa ByLaw services says most restaurants and gyms are checking vaccine passports. Only 18 tickets have been issues since September for not checking, and most of those were in the initial weeks. [Ottawa Citizen]

⭕ Ontario’s science advisory table says cases of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is doubling every three days in Ontario. The reproduction number for the Delta variant is 1.09, for Omicron it's 4.07. [Ottawa Citizen]

⭕ Mayor Jim Watson tests negative for COVID-19. The Mayor had been self-isolating since Friday after a City Hall staffer had tested positive for COVID-19. [CTV]

⭕ 5,200 more COVID-19 booster shot appointments have been made availabe in Ottawa after it was reported yesterday that bookings were full until January. [CTV]
