• The 82 year-old icon of Ottawa’s running community is on the mend after open heart surgery. Despite exercising daily, the co-founder of the National Capital Marathon in 1974 and 2005 Ottawa Sport Hall of Famer was told earlier this year that he needed the seven hour surgery.
