🔢 Street Addresses

  • A Manotick resident wants the City to renumber his street – or his neighbour’s street – because everyone is getting confused. The man lives at 614 Ribbon Street, which is ten houses down from 614 Bridgeport. Both houses are on the same street, but as 614 Bridgepost is a corner house, it is numbered on the cross street, Deliveries, tradespeople, and the like just see the 614 on the house and consider they are in the right spot. When the City was asked why they gave a side street numbers starting with 600, the City said, ‘eh, the planner at the time had the discretion and made the decision’. (Matthew Kupfer at CBC)
